With the encouragement of my family and friends, I have decided to nominate myself for Overdrive‘s Most Beautiful trucker. I have been a truck driver for 10 years without a single citation or accident. I currently hold hazardous material, TANK and TWIC certifications with my previous experience being in the construction field paving everything from interstates to racetracks to drag strips. I have been an independent contractor with cold iron specialized transport for the past five years and last year alone I drove and delivered more than 83 different trucks, including but not limited to off road dump trucks, and right-hand steers destined for overseas. Prior to my driving career I was employed as a substitute teacher ,veterinary radiological technician and an office manager for an environmental cleanup service..,my favorite thing about the job that I currently hold , is the freedom that it allows , I am blessed enough to be able to schedule my work around the needs of my friends family and community, As I am actively involved in many fundraisers and charity events, further I genuinely enjoy the people that I meet , and the beautiful places that I am blessed to see in my travels … I never get tired of watching the sun rise and set over this amazing country of ours.
I am a single mother of two boys ages 15 and 19, My father was a diesel mechanic so I was raised around trucks and truck drivers and have what I would consider to be good mechanical knowledge of the equipment that I drive and all things diesel … if there’s anything on my bucket list that I have not yet driven, I would have to say that a train would be at the top.
