I-40 lanes in Nashville to close

Tennessee Department of Transportation crews will close lanes on Interstate 40 in both directions in Nashville near White Bridge Road July 16-19 to begin work on concrete foundations for new overhead sign structures.

Also this weekend, lanes will be closed on the I-40 westbound ramp to White Bridge Road as crews continue pouring the new concrete bridge deck.

The left lane of I-40 eastbound and westbound will be closed 9 p.m. July 16 through 5 a.m. July 19 to remove the median barrier rail and install a new overhead sign footing. I-40 will be reduced to one lane 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. the nights of July 17 and July 18 to continue the work. The left lane of the I-40 westbound off ramp at White Bridge Road will be closed from midnight July 17 through noon July 18.
