Truckers News Wins Two ASBPE Awards

Truckers News won awards for its redesign and its special section on the trucking industry’s response following 9/11.

Truckers News has earned two awards from the American Society of Business Publication Editors.

The magazine received a gold award for Publication Redesign for monthly publications with a circulation of more than 80,000 in the ASBPE’s 2002 central region competition. Truckers News launched a comprehensive redesign in September 2001.

The magazine also won a bronze award in the Special Section category for its November 2001 “Moving America Forward” editorial package on the response of the trucking industry following the terrorist attacks against the United States.

Truckers News has a reputation for being a leader in the trucking industry in editorial and design,” said Truckers News Publisher Robert Lake. “These awards reaffirm that we are continuing to serve our readers with an attractive, informative, cutting-edge publication.”

ASBPE is a professional association for full-time and freelance editors and writers employed in the business, trade and specialty press.

“It is always an honor for our hard-working and dedicated staff to be recognized, but it’s especially rewarding when that recognition comes from our industry peers,” said Truckers News Editor Randy Grider.
