Mack showcases new fuel-saving suspension system
In a press event that included talk of full integration of Mack products, the future of natural gas in the trucking industry and a few product announcements, Mack, most notably, unveiled a new suspension system – the Twin-Y — that it says can offer fuel savings of up to 25 percent over the current camelback offerings.
Mack’s Jerry Warmkessel said during the event — held at the Mid-America Trucking Show in Louisville, Ky. — that the product is quite a revolution not only for the truck maker but for the industry as a whole.
Overdrive and sister site CCJ Equipment Editor Jack Roberts had the chance to drive a Mack Pinnacle last week that had Mack’s new proprietary suspension system installed.
