Mack Trucks will increase employment by 125 workers at its Macungie, Pa., truck assembly plant, starting in October, the company said Aug. 24.
Mack plans to call back laid-off workers as well as hire new employees, although it didn’t specify a number. The move is planned to support increased production of its Class 8 trucks.
Last week, Mack’s affiliated company, Volvo Trucks North America, said it will recall 270 workers to its truck-building plant in Dublin, Va.
