Midnight Express: ’98 Peterbilt 379

| May 22, 2014

Josh Van WagonerOwner-operator Josh Van Wagoner of Auburn, Ill., says he’s given his 1998 379 Peterbilt rig four makeovers. “I get tired of it,” Van Wagoner says. “I always start thinking of stuff to redo.” The Pete used to be black cherry and teal, but for his latest renovation, which took six months, he picked a paint scheme with black and pink, which he says is his favorite color. “believe it or not.” Van Wagoner hauls produce, meat and cheese with the Midnight Express, which is powered by a 550-hp Caterpillar engine and a 13-speed transmission and has 730 lights.
