Nevada adds mobile inspection bypass

Nevada has become the 15th state to adopt the Drivewyze PreClear bypass service, which uses tablets, smartphones and select Electronic On-Board Recorders to provide commercial vehicles with inspection site bypass opportunities. Drivewyze PreClear is the only weigh station bypass service in Nevada, providing bypass services at all 11 mobile inspection sites in the state.

The service, which requires no poles or transponders, leverages cellular networks and the internet to enable tablets, smartphones and select Electronic On-Board Recorders with transponder-like functionality.

Launched in early September 2012, Drivewyze PreClear is being offered in Nevada to drivers and fleets starting at $12.99 per month for interstate service. It is currently in Connecticut, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Minnesota, Mississippi, New Hampshire, New Mexico, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Virginia, Vermont, West Virginia and Nevada.
