Marten transport offers 3-cent bonus
Marten Transport will give owner-operator teams a 3-cent-per-mile bonus on top of their normal pay.

The bonus makes it possible for owner-operator teams to earn as much as 87 cents per mile, according to the Wisconsin-based company, which twice this year raised its pay for company drivers.


SON NAMED DART PRESIDENT
David Oren became Dart Transit president Oct. 1. His father, Donald Oren, stepped down as president to become board chairman.

Dart was founded in 1934 by Earl Oren, David’s grandfather.

CONTRACT FREIGHTERS INC. honored its July Drivers of the Month: Marvin Peck, contractor driver; Bill and Vicki Bumgardner, contractor team; Michael Longoria, company driver; Greg and Vicki Quattlebaum, company team.

CARDINAL LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT awarded a Ford F-150 to Chicago trucker Clinton McGowan as part of its referral bonus program.

ANDERSON TRUCKING SERVICES awarded a 2005 Arctic Cat ATV to Warren Coyle of Middlefield, Ohio, as part of its summer recruiting giveaway.

CRST MALONE honored driver Timothy Downs for achieving 2 million miles of safe driving. Downs has been driving for 21 years, mostly for CRST, based in Birmingham, Ala.
