WEST SIDE BECOMES PART OWNER OF RFK
West Side Unlimited Corp., parent company of West Side Transport, has invested a 50 percent stake in RFK Transportation LLC and RFK Transportation Logistics LLC. The Robert Kazimour family will own the remaining 50 percent interest of the RFK companies.

West Side says the investment expands its number of tractors from 420 to 520 and its number of 53-foot dry vans from 1,150 to more than 1,400.


WERNER JOINS ANTI-TERRORISM PROGRAM
Werner Enterprises is now a validated member in the Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism, a U.S. Customs and Border Protection program designed to strengthen the supply chain and border security.


OWNER-OPERATOR BONUS INCREASES
Barr-Nunn Transportation has increased its owner-operator bonus to $1,100 for every 60,000 paid miles starting with the owner-operator’s third appreciation bonus.

MAVERICK TRANSPORTATION named Drivers of the Month: Kenny Lewis, April; Gerry Pierson, May; and David Leonard, June.

DECKER TRUCK LINE honored its June Drivers of the Month: Rod Irwin, flatbed division; Bahne Struecker, reefer/van division.

AVERITT EXPRESS honored Thomas England, David Fullington and Ron Head for 20 years of safe driving. They join more than 250 members of the company’s Over 20 Team.
