PLAY TIME

Bruce Trefz of Paris, Ill., is a farmer who drives what his wife and daughter call his “Big Boy Toy” in the off-season. He says he always wanted a truck for his farm, and this 1988 International Eagle satisfies his need to be in a rig when he is not farming. Trefz’s toy is painted a bold black cherry and has an 18-speed transmission, 400-hp Cummins, Shurloc roll tarp and an 18-foot Scott bed. Trefz uses it to haul grain.

JUST ONE LOOK

When Kenny Reagan of Livingston, Tenn., found this truck for sale less than 100 miles from home, he knew he had to have it. This 1969 Peterbilt 358M with an extended hood, cut-down flat-top sleeper with an oval Peterbilt window, single round headlights and a two-stick transmission is just what Reagan had dreamed of since he began trucking 20 years ago. He added a square bumper, J-hooks, cab lights, longer stacks and two straps to each fuel tank. He also painted the tanks to match the fenders. Reagan hauls cattle to Oklahoma, Kansas, Texas and Colorado.
