Megan Folkes, dispatcher at Gulf Logistics and Parish Transport in Ellisville, Miss., poses in the photo gallery above with a 2003 Peterbilt 379 owned by her dad, Alton Folkes. Megan urged her father, owner and operator of the six-truck Two Rivers flatbed fleet out of Seminary, Miss., to fix up a purple Pete, as that’s their favorite color. “I’ve always liked Peterbilts, and I’ve always wanted to fix one up,” she says.

It was beginning to feel a bit like Christmas when Dallas-based model Ally, wearing a fur-trimmed snowflake outfit, posed in front of show truck Deja Blue.

Megan’s fiancé, Austin Ashley, built and runs Double Take, a 2007 Pete 379 that won Best of Show at the 2012 Overdrive’s Pride & Polish event at the Great American Trucking Show. Ashley’s truck also won the Pride & Polish Truckers’ Choice National Championship award at the same Dallas-based show in 2013. Its purple striped paint scheme also took its direction from Megan.

Also being a fan of purple, especially dark purples, I would be interested in the origin of, or the paint code for the purple featured.
