Pilot Flying J upgrading bathrooms, showers

pilotPilot Flying J has announced it is upgrading restrooms in more than 680 locations across North America.

The renovated restrooms will feature low water consumption toilets, eco-friendly hand dryers, state-of-the-art LED lighting and Italian tile as accents on vanity walls. Additionally, Pilot Flying J has upgraded the showers at its travel centers over the last three years.

The upgrades are part of a $50 million investment Pilot Flying J has made in its travel stops and are already complete in some of the busiest locations in Illinois, Texas, Ohio, Tennessee, Pennsylvania, Florida and California. The rest of the locations will be completed within the next two years, according to the company.

“When traveling long distances, we understand it’s the little things that matter most,” said Ken Parent, chief operating officer for Pilot Flying J. “We see more than 1.4 million guests in our travel centers every day and the majority of them visit the restroom as well as enjoy our food offerings, cold drinks and more. We aim to make their restroom experience as clean and comfortable as possible and are committed to taking care of every customer. This renovation – unlike anything else on the interstate – is one way to achieve that.”
