Potable Pete: Water-hauling 379

| December 01, 2013

Jonathan SeidlerOwner-operator Jonathan Seidler used his 379 Peterbilt for three years before selling the truck a year ago. Now hauling in Pennsylvania, the rig, equipped with a C12 motor and super 10-speed transmission, once worked as a potable water carrier out of Ashland, Ore. Seidler’s truck carried potable water for domestic use and forestry throughout Oregon. “It was a gorgeous truck. Pretty rare. You don’t see many of them around the U.S.,” Seidler says.

More About:

I know this rig it is nice But not as good as our portable rigs !!!
The owner was trying to work here in Cal & did not have a potable permit for the state of Cal ..
Was wondering where the truck went …
    Keep on trucking !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Right, it came from the Grass Valley area around 5 years ago? Can’t remember exactly. In the end it was overkill for household deliveries but as far as Pete’s go it was awesome. I wanted to hang on to it but in the end economics prevailed.
