R287A steer tire for regional and long-haul applications has U.S. Environmental Protection Agency SmartWay-certified approval and is California Air Resources Board compliant. The tire’s side groove structure is designed to prevent shoulder edge wear from spreading to the ribs, while the inside of the groove is engineered to prevent stress cracking. The equalizer rib feature, cap compound and base compound are designed for improved use, the company says. The tire has a 16/32-inch tread depth.
