R.I. lawmaker wants to repeal truck toll law, Louisiana looking at split speeds
A bill introduced in Rhode Island would, if passed, repeal the RhodeWorks law passed last year that enacted trucks-only tolls in the state. Another bill introduced in Louisiana proposes to reduce the speed limit for trucks and buses by 10 miles per hour on interstates.

Anti-toll rally to be held in Rhode Island next week
In its announcement of the rally, NATSO says that even though the revenue raised from the truck-only tolls is supposed to go toward repairing roads and bridges, there are no legal requirements for this to happen. Organizers say they intend to shed light on the effects the state’s trucks-only tolling plan will have on truckers in the state.
