Starting today, Bridgestone and Firestone truck and bus radial tires are increasing in price by up to 8 percent in the United States and Canada, Bridgestone Commercial Solutions says. The price of over-the-road tread rubber and Bandag brand retread materials will also be raised by an average of 8 percent.

Bridgestone introduces three new mixed-service tires

Bridgestone has introduced two new truck tires and a wide-based trailer tire, the company announced Aug. 26 at the Great American Trucking Show in Dallas. The prices of Bridgestone and Firestone truck and bus tire products, Bandag brand retreads and related retreading materials have been increased starting immediately, Bridgestone Commercial Solutions announced. Truck and bus radial tire prices have increased 12 percent, Bridgestone Bandag Tire Solutions announced recently regarding both the Bridgestone and Firestone brands. Kurt Danielson, the tire maker's president, says the cost of raw materials and rising energy costs “have made a price increase of this level unavoidable.”
