FTR Associates on Tuesday, June 19, outlined a significantly reduced Class 8 production forecast beginning in the second half of 2012.
Company says it stopped Class 8 truck production in mid-December until the problem can be remedied. Paccar and Volvo trucks also are affected.
ACT forecasts that demand will grow the next two years, with production in 2012 exceeding 300,000 units.
At the Great American Trucking Show, Hendrickson said it is pursuing new markets and new products, such as Aero Guard.
