Remembering Bob Walser of Billâs Truck Stop, Linwood, N.C.
Robert Eugene âBobâ Walser Sr., 86, of Linwood, N.C., well-known for his generosity to drivers, passed Saturday. Walser owned and operated Billâs Truck Stop at I-85 exit 86, for 60 years. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, October 15, at Churchland Baptist Church in Linwood.

Billy A. Henry Sr. of Cross County, Ark., was under an oversize load near El Paso, Texas, on Monday, May 9, when he passed of a heart attack. The trooper on the scene determined his actions neatly parking the rig amounted to absolute heroism. Henryâs trucking brother remembers him here.
