Fleet volunteers in MS fundraiser

Transport America Inc. volunteered drivers and tractor-trailers for a June 12-13 bicycle race that Minnesota’s National Multiple Sclerosis Society chapter hosts annually. Having helped with the fundraiser for 16 years, the Eagan, Minn.-based fleet supplied 19 rigs for this year’s race, in which more than 3,000 riders competed. Crete wins two Kellogg’s awards

Crete Carrier Corp. received two awards from Kellogg’s cereal and convenience foods producer, the Lincoln, Neb.-based fleet announced. Crete Carrier won Kellogg’s 2009 Komplete Carrier of the Year and sister division Shaffer Trucking was named 2009 Temperature Controlled Carrier of the Year.
