The Truckload Carriers Association and Truckers News, recently selected the finalists for the Company Equipment Driver of the Year contest. TCA and Overdrive, sister publication of Truckers News, also named the finalists for the Independent Contractor of the Year contest.
The finalists will now complete the second part of the application by Dec. 16. The top five winners in each category, will be announced in January. The grand prize winners for both contests will be announced at the 2003 TCA Annual Convention at the Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center in Orlando, Fla., March 9-12, 2003.
This was the first time that the contests were opened to drivers from all trucking companies, not just TCA members.
