Prizes for the winners of the Truckload Carriers Association Weight Loss Showdown include a top cash award of $2,500 and fitness equipment, TCA announced.
The trucker with the greatest percentage of weight lost in the contest will receive $2,500 while the company with the greatest team percentage of weight loss will receive $13,000 worth in fitness equipment for an exercise room from StayFit.
The fitness room will include an elliptical cross trainer, a recumbent stationary bike and a cable motion dual pulley strength frame rack. Restaurant and food gift cards will be given as prizes.
The 10-week program began in January. Winners will be announced at TCA’s Safety and Security Division Annual Meeting on May 20-22. Two trucking industry suppliers, Cline Wood Agency and Travel Centers of America/Petro Stopping Centers of Westlake, Ohio, are sponsoring the prizes.
