Tire pressure monitoring system
January 20, 2012
| by: Overdrive Staff
The new commercial truck tire pressure monitoring system measures the pressure and heat buildup in tires and is installed inside the wheel or tire cavity in the drop center of the wheel to prevent theft. The system records any significant air loss over time caused by leaks in the tire. With the “Hook and Go” feature, drivers can hook up to any trailer without having to register sensors on the tractor. The system constantly monitors heat buildup, wheel pressure and leaks.
