Jost’s JSK37USK series air-release fifth wheel with sensor technology features the company’s Sensor Coupling System that helps the driver confirm that the fifth wheel is coupled properly and safely from inside the cab. The system contains dual sensors: The first sensor is designed to indicate that the kingpin is in the lock position, while the second sensor is engineered to show that the fifth wheel is locked and the release handle is secured. The lock status can be shown by a Jost-supplied dash display or communicated through the vehicle’s CAN bus.
