TWT Refrigerated boosts owner-operator pay

Spokane, Wash.-based TWT Refrigerated Service announced it’s increasing its owner-operator pay package to $1 per mile, effective May 1.

Solo, team and mult-fleet owners qualify for the raise, and that rate counts for loaded and empty miles. Owner-operators also receive 100 percent fuel surcharge. Vice President of Personnel Jeff Benesch says the increase is a way to “encourage professional [owner-operators] to join our team.”

Used-truck market rife with uncertainty

Unknowns around tariffs, emissions regulations and other factors have created uncertainty in the used-truck market, according to analysts. The good news? Retail used-truck sales prices have returned to near pre-COVID levels.
