Volvo, UAW sign 5-year deal

Volvo Trucks North America on March 28 announced employees represented by the United Auto Workers have ratified a new 5-year agreement covering about 1,300 members of UAW Local No. 2069 at the company’s plant in New River Valley, Va.
The new contract will expire on March 16, 2016.
Denny Slagle, president and CEO of Volvo Trucks North America, said, “The stability this agreement provides will help us continue momentum as the market improves.”
