Car-maker Maserati is hyping itself as the “world’s sexiest car, scientically speaking,” on the back of results of a recent study, conducted by British luxury car insurer Hiscox, “in which participants were asked to listen to the sound of a variety of cars, from exotics to economy models,” says the company. “The sound of a Maserati engine was shown to spark a biological response among women — in fact, 100 percent of the women studied had shown higher testosterone levels after listening to the exhaust of a Maserati than any other car!”

Insurance implications notwithstanding, the company is offering cell phone ringtones to men looking to boost their own levels or “>conduct [their] own research.” Check out the promo vid here or text “>Maserati” to number 707070 to get the ringtone.
