Season 9 of the History Channel's Ice Road Truckers franchise will debut this summer; Overdrive's exclusive interview with Alex Debogorski here.

This season follows six drivers as they navigate the “polar vortex” events that took place this winter, traveling what the Guinness Book of World Records is calling the longest seasonal winter road in the world.

The show will feature drivers Hugh Rowland, Alex Debogorski, Mark Kohaykewych, Todd Dewey, Lisa Kelly, Darrel Ward and Art Burke.

Overdrive caught up with Debogorski just last month to talk about the show, the driving conditions and his life — Click here to read that piece. We also wrote an in-depth profile on him in 2012; Click here to see that story.

Last year, Overdrive profiled Lisa Kelly in her return to the show, and OD Equipment Editor Jack Roberts spent some time in-cab with Kelly for this video interview:

I’d watch her drive every day. I don’t even have to see Hugh to not like him. I think the only person who likes Hugh is Hugh.

I would have to agree, how many times can you watch the same trucks go up and down the same road. Give me reruns of Gillians island.

  • norman ott

They should show trucks going over I 70 in Colorado and Utah battle ing traffic in a blizzard. Or how about 550 in Colorado, Wolf creek pass, Rabbit ears pass.

  • Brian Pruitt

Yea a show about the guys that run 550 would be cool I kinda like the show about wreckers on the coke in Canada hwy through hell

If you have watched this show once, you’ve seen all the episodes. Boring show.

  • Mike Smith

Love the show. It’s about trucks, characters, and harsh environment. Like him or not Hugh is a character. There are good characters wither u like them or not, and there are bad, poor, and boring characters. And there are those with no character.
