Amen Brother Fix the true problems not the perceived problem. We the drivers and owners are NOT THE PROBLEM IT IS THE SHIPPERS RECEIVERS AND THE MANY OTHERS THAT CAUSE DELAYS AND DETENTION. I believe a lot of this could be solved by a different rate metrics system based on Pay by hour rate for loads and do away with the antiquated mileage system. Because today’s loads are becoming shorter hauls and more time consuming than loads of the past. The days of long haul high mileage loads are getting smaller and smaller do to intermodal and regional haul that are more time consuming and lower mileage.
