The Great West Truck Show, June 9-11 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, has plenty to offer owner-operators.

One of the show’s biggest attractions is the Custom Rigs’ Pride & Polish truck beauty show. The Las Vegas competition is part of the new Pride & Polish National Championship Series, which concludes at the Great American Trucking Show in Dallas, Aug. 25-27.

Overdrive will host a free two-hour Partners in Business program, presented by Kevin Rutherford, at 2 p.m. June 10 at the Great West show. Rutherford, an accountant, small-fleet owner and satellite radio host, will run through key aspects of how to manage an owner-operator business. He will be joined by a representative from owner-operator business services provider ATBS.

The show also features a broad range of other seminars and panels. Among them are sessions on FMCSA’s Compliance, Safety, Accountability program; hours of service; and how to pass a Department of Transportation audit.

Free truck parking will be available across the street from the convention center.
