Averitt’s flatbed service expands

Regional flatbed drivers are being hired in a company-wide expansion, Averitt Express announced. The Cookeville, Tenn.-based carrier recently ordered nearly 50 flatbed trailers to augment its current fleet of more than 50.

The carrier is increasing flatbed services in Birmingham, Ala.; Atlanta; Cincinnati; Louisville, Ky.; and Nashville, Tenn., said Averitt spokesman Chris Asberry.
