Melton Truck Lines Inc. was awarded the President’s E”Star Award for Export Service in May. The E Awards are the highest recognition any U.S. entity may receive for making a significant contribution to the expansion of U.S. exports. Melton Truck Lines was recognized for facilitating export expansion through transportation.
The President’s E Award was created by Executive Order in 1961 to encourage U.S. companies to sell their products abroad. A second award, the President’s E Star Award, was authorized by the Secretary of Commerce in 1969 to recognize E Award recipients for their continuing significant contributions to U.S. export expansion.
Melton Truck Lines was the only truck transportation provider to receive the President’s E Star Award for Export Service at the awarding ceremony in May.
