Wispak Transport of Milwaukee, recently increased its drivers’ compensation package. Through the new program, company drivers receive a per-mile pay schedule and complete benefits program.
Independent contractors using a Wispak Transport trailer earn 91 cents per mile, and contractors using their own trailer earn $1.01 a mile. The rates are based on dispatched miles loaded or empty. In addition, contractors receive drop pay at $50 per stop, paid lumpers, paid Prepass, a graduated per-mile fuel surcharge, free fuel tax calculation and filing, and a safety bonus program.
