NATSO To Hold Annual Convention

NATSO, a national trade association representing travel plaza and truckstop owners and operators, will hold its annual convention Feb. 14-15 at the Opryland Hotel in Nashville, Tenn.

NATSO Show 2002 will include committee meetings, exhibits, and numerous seminars on a wide range of industry-related topics, including truckstop electrification and securing facilities in the face of terrorism.

NATSO, which represents more than 1,100 truckstops and travel plazas nationwide, lobbies Congress on a number of travel industry issues each year. The NATSO Foundation, an affiliated charitable organization, is active with its assistance to disaster relief efforts through the American Red Cross. In the aftermath of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, the organization acted as a clearinghouse for the travel industry to help donate more than $138,000 to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund.
