McCurry Wins Independent Contractor of the Year Award

Scott McCurry of Eagle Grove, Iowa, won a 2003 International 9000i Series tractor for his selection as the 2001 Independent Contractor of the Year. The Truckload Carriers Association, Overdrive magazine and International Truck and Engine Corp. sponsored the award.

McCurry has leased with Umthun Trucking Co. since 1969. He has logged almost 3.5 million accident-free miles and is a seven-time finalist for the award.
