Long Takes Second Round of International Truck Challenge

Carl Long, a truck driver and occasional NASCAR Winston Cup racer, won the second round of the International Truck Challenge at Lowe’s Motor Speedway in Concord, N.C., May 18-19.

Long, No. 85 for Mansion Motorsports, drove an International 9400i tractor-trailer to complete an obstacle course in just less than 1 minute and 40 seconds. He earned 200 points and claimed the $1,000 prize money given to the winner of each Challenge event.

Second place went to Rodney Pickler, driver for Rusty Wallace’s race team, who gathered 195 points and completed the course less than a second slower than Long.

The next International Truck Challenge event of the season will take place July 14, at Chicagoland Speedway in Joliet, Ill.
