Randall Trucking Media Group, the owner of Truckers News and eTrucker.com, served up free lunch and goodies to truckers for Trucker Appreciation Day.
Robert Davis was the lucky winner of a new ride at the Randall Trucking Media Group’s Trucker Appreciation Day. The driver for NJ Xpress from Vidalia, Ga., took home a Dahon folding bicycle with a retail value of about $1,000.
Randall employees served burgers, hot dogs and cold drinks to hard-working truck drivers at the Petro at Exit 100 off I-59/20 near Birmingham, Ala., Aug. 21 as part of the seventh annual event.
More than 200 truck drivers received free goodie bags with Randall’s truck magazines – Truckers News, Overdrive and Commercial Carrier Journal – caps, calendars, shampoo and body wash, key chains and more.
“It was good to get a break out of the truck,” said Davis. A few minutes later, he found out that his name had been drawn for the bicycle. “It freaked me right out,” he added.
Sponsors of Randall Trucking Media’s Trucker Appreciation Day included Petro, Shell, Interstate Connections, Howe’s Lubricators, Smokey 2, No-Rinse Products, Hammerlane Trucking Solutions, Wesmart Inc., Michelin/BF Goodrich, Diecast Promotions and Better Bicycle Co.
Randall also operates eTrucker.com and the Great American Trucking Show in Dallas.
