Truckers traveling the Pennsylvania Turnpike in 2018 will notice an increase in tolls, effective Jan. 7.

The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission approved a 6 percent hike back in July for both E-ZPass and cash customers. The increase will see the most common toll for a Class 8 truck increase from $23.60 to $25.01 for E-ZPass and from $33.10 to $35.08 for cash.

The annual increases of 3 to 6 percent are expected to continue for the Turnpike through 2044, according to PTC Chairman Sean Logan in 2015. 2018 will be the 10th consecutive year to see an increase.
