In addition to increased enforcement this week due to the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance’s International Roadcheck, truck and car drivers in Michigan will also see police ramping up enforcement focused on safe driving behaviors.

Michigan State Police’s Ticketing Aggressive Cars and Trucks (TACT) enforcement campaign will focus on aggressive driving by passenger vehicles and trucks along I-94 between Jackson and Taylor.

Motor carrier officers and state troopers will conduct TACT enforcement activities over a two-week period – June 3-7 and June 10-14 – between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m. each day. Police will be on the lookout for improper lane use, careless and reckless driving, speeding, following too closely, failure to yield the right-of-way and more.

Roadcheck is ongoing this week as well, between Tuesday, June 4, and Thursday, June 6, with a focus on steering and suspension systems.
