Good Karma

Birds aren’t the only animals who tweet. Karma, perhaps the most popular trucking dog on social microblogging site Twitter, has drawn quite the following. At last count, the young German shepherd had 1,150 followers, thanks to his aadoption by trucker/blogger Desiree Wood (@truckerdesiree on Twitter). Donna Smith of the askthetrucker.com posted in May about Wood’s adoption of the young German shepherd from her company’s terminal, where he’d been “just hanging out,” in May. The dog needed treatment for heartworms, and Smith offered her gas-hauling, writing husband Allen Smith’s “Best Truck Driving Jobs” eBook for free to anyone who donated to help. Karma eventually got that treatment, and up until recently had been mending well. Follow the dog’s progress here and here.
