If you’ve heard the truck-stop legend that Twinkies last forever, don’t believe it, says the invaluable Snopes.com. The company that makes Twinkies, Interstate Bakeries of Kansas City, Mo., concedes that more than three weeks of freshness is unusual for baked goods, but says that’s because Twinkies contain no dairy products whatsoever, not even in the cream filling. Are you reassured yet?
