I was happy to see both familiar and new (to me, anyway) faces among the Most Loved Pets first-place winners announced yesterday — among them was one storied bird, Muggsy, whose owner I checked back in with back in October following the Pets competition getting under way.

His dog, Diesel, of course, features prominently.
