Mike Wilbur’s 2015 Peterbilt 389

Wilbur 2019 03 25 09 59

This 2015 Peterbilt 389 glider, owned by Mike Wilbur, features a 1999 Cummins ISX with an 18-speed, Neway suspension, 46,000-pound full-locking axles with 3:55 rears. The rig also sports a 20,000-pound Silent Drive steerable pusher axle. Wilbur bought the truck in September and had it stretched from a 255-inch wheelbase to 295 inches, added a frame insert to add the extra axle, added larger fuel tanks, along with a 63-inch bunk. All the work was done in-house. The rig mostly pulls a 55-ton RGN hauling heavy equipment.
