The Putty Road, running from Sydney to Singleton, is well known in the Australian Road Transport Industry and the annual Putty Road Memorial recognises not only those who drove this road, but those who gave their lives on this road as well. I was invited to attend with the TRUCKRIGHT Industry Vehicle in 2016 and was the speaker for the memorial ceremony. I took this before all the guests and attendees arrived. Such memorials which commemorate those who have lived and or died on the road in doing their jobs, are one of the few ways we remember those who have travelled the roads before us.
