Owner-operator Zak Hargraves, after a note pointing to a Thursday piece on emWired/em magazineâs site about a certain milk haulerâs biogas-powered trucks, has this blogger contemplating the cosmos for signs of a strange alignment. Seems that, the day I was posting about the tech magazineâs a href=âhttp://channel19.blogspot.com/2009/02/lonestar-gets-wired.htmlâpiece on the new International Lonestar/a, emWired/em was running with a story about the same subject Iâd written on the day before â a href=âhttp://channel19.blogspot.com/2009/02/trucks-running-on-runs.htmlâdairy farmer Rob Hilarides two biomethane-powered tractors/a. This mainstream-tech and trucking-trade press alignment may have happened before, but weâre not aware of anything quite so synchronous. Should we knock on wood? Or something else of a superstitious nature? Itâs Monday, in any case: always good to start the week with a strange coincidence, eh?br /br /Go a href=âhttp://blog.wired.com/cars/2009/02/milk-trucks-in.htmlâhere/a for the emWired/em piece, complete with a pic of Hilarides â and this nugget of a quote from Allen Dusalt of an outfit called Sustainable Conservation, though he admittedly wasnât talking about diesel regs: âIn California the manure is plentiful.âbr /br /Thanks, Zak.br /br /li class=âsocial-diggâa onclick=âwindow.open(âhttp://digg.com/submit?phase=2amp;url=â+encodeURIComponent(location.href)+âamp;title=â+encodeURIComponent(document.title), âdiggâ); return false;â href=âhttp://digg.com/submitâDigg/a/lili class=âsocial-facebookâa onclick=âwindow.open(âhttp://www.facebook.com/share.php?u=â+encodeURIComponent(location.href)+âamp;title=â+encodeURIComponent(document.title),âfacebookâ); return false;â href=âhttp://www.facebook.com/share.phpâfacebook/a/lidiv class=âblogger-post-footerâChannel 19 is the blog version of the column of the same name featured in Overdrive: The Voice of the American Trucker.
