Planets aligning

Owner-operator Zak Hargraves, after a note pointing to a Thursday piece on emWired/em magazine’s site about a certain milk hauler’s biogas-powered trucks, has this blogger contemplating the cosmos for signs of a strange alignment. Seems that, the day I was posting about the tech magazine’s a href=”http://channel19.blogspot.com/2009/02/lonestar-gets-wired.html”piece on the new International Lonestar/a, emWired/em was running with a story about the same subject I’d written on the day before — a href=”http://channel19.blogspot.com/2009/02/trucks-running-on-runs.html”dairy farmer Rob Hilarides two biomethane-powered tractors/a. This mainstream-tech and trucking-trade press alignment may have happened before, but we’re not aware of anything quite so synchronous. Should we knock on wood? Or something else of a superstitious nature? It’s Monday, in any case: always good to start the week with a strange coincidence, eh?br /br /Go a href=”http://blog.wired.com/cars/2009/02/milk-trucks-in.html”here/a for the emWired/em piece, complete with a pic of Hilarides — and this nugget of a quote from Allen Dusalt of an outfit called Sustainable Conservation, though he admittedly wasn’t talking about diesel regs: “In California the manure is plentiful.”br /br /Thanks, Zak.br /br /li class=”social-digg”a onclick=”window.open(‘http://digg.com/submit?phase=2amp;url=’+encodeURIComponent(location.href)+’amp;title=’+encodeURIComponent(document.title), ‘digg’); return false;” href=”http://digg.com/submit”Digg/a/lili class=”social-facebook”a onclick=”window.open(‘http://www.facebook.com/share.php?u=’+encodeURIComponent(location.href)+’amp;title=’+encodeURIComponent(document.title),’facebook’); return false;” href=”http://www.facebook.com/share.php”facebook/a/lidiv class=”blogger-post-footer”Channel 19 is the blog version of the column of the same name featured in Overdrive: The Voice of the American Trucker.
