75 Chrome Shop’s 20th annual Truck Show Extravaganza will be held this weekend. (75 Chrome Shop photo)Show truck season is in full swing with the onset of spring, and with that comes 75 Chrome Shop’s 20th annual Truck Show Extravaganza in Wildwood, Fla., off of I-75.
The show will be held this weekend with contestants arriving Friday, April 27 for check-in and a convoy to the nearby Leesburg Bikefest. It opens to the public Saturday, April 28, and will feature live entertainment, food and various other vendors, a light show, bounce house and games for children and more.
For contestants, the show this year is non-judged, but more than $25,000 in prizes will be given out during the show. Participants will also be competing for the 75 Chrome Shop Prime Shine Trophy and People’s Choice Trophy. The show is free for spectators.
75 Chrome Shop will donate proceeds from the show to Camp Boggy Creek, which offers a respite for children with serious illnesses.
Following the 75 Chrome Shop show, Fitzgerald Peterbilt will host its Semi-Casual Truck Show next weekend, May 4-5, at Bristol Dragway in Bristol, Tenn. It will feature truck drag races, a lights show, fireworks and a concert by Foghat. Then, in June, Shell Rotella’s SuperRigs will be held June 14-16 at White’s Travel Center in Raphine, Va.
