Alan Kitzhaber Portrait

Based in Wisconsin, independent owner-operator Alan Kitzhaber bought his first truck in 1998. Today operating with carrier authority as Oak Ridge Transport, he's spent a total of 34 years in the trucking industry. He has operated equipment from vans, reefers, flatbeds and some custom triple decker trailers for Menards designed to haul 12-foot-long pallets containing countertops, shelving, trim and more manufactured by the company. He has been driving the same truck now for three decades and has logged more than 4 million miles in it without a DOT recordable accident or preventable accident. In early 2025, Kitzhaber was honored as Overdrive's Trucker of the Year.
