Mack trucks delivered two high-profile Christmas trees recently, one to the Rockefeller Center in New York City and the other to the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C.

The Rockefeller Center tree, a 10-ton, 76-foot Norway spruce harvested in Connecticut, arrived first, pulled by a Mack Vision axle-back tractor, into the city’s holiday kickoff the morning of Nov. 12th. Torsilieri, Inc. of Gladstone, N.J., has delivered the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree for 27 years.

The 2009 U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree traveled from the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests in Arizona to the foot of Capitol Hill. A Mack CH axle-back owned by heavy-haul specialist Southwest Industrial Rigging of Phoenix carried the 85-foot blue spruce on a 10-day tour of Arizona and then to its destination in D.C.
