The Missouri Department of Transportation is seeking comments about whether I-55 rest areas near Fruitland should be converted to truck-only parking.
The rest areas near mile marker 110 are nearly obsolete and could be decommissioned, the MoDOT said. Recently such facilities have been converted to truck-only parking. The Fruitland sites could expand to 60-70 parking spaces from the current 31.
