Navistar-Modec expands eStar sales, service

To serve the eStar electric medium-duty truck, the Navistar-Modec EV Alliance has added sales and service facilities at Chicago International Trucks in Chicago; Rechtien International Trucks in Miami; K. Neal International Trucks in Washington, D.C.; Beltway Cos. in Baltimore and D.C.; and DATTCO in New England.

The eStar is an all-electric vehicle and has been certified by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the California Air Resources Board. The truck is a Class 2-3 vehicle and has a 100-mile range per charge. Once plugged in, a full recharge takes 6-8 hours.
