Construction work is scheduled to begin Sept. 26 on the 14th Street bridge over I-80 at Lincoln, according to the Nebraska Department of Roads.
Traffic will be detoured on city streets. The new bridge is necessary for future 14th Street expansion.
The project will include daytime work and occasional nighttime lane closures for east and westbound I-80 traffic. Work is anticipated to be completed in the summer of 2012.
